ZR 1 is a High-End masterpiece in sound, design and technology. Hand-made cabinet and Hand-Made excellent drivers are the prerequisite when we are talking about real Hand-Made. Besides its astonishing outside look, it is primary focused in the quality of the sound.

The cabinet is made from MDF segments (optional Baltic-Birch Plywood) which are vertically glued together into one piece. In this way, it is possible to eliminate parasitic resonances and standing waves of the cabinet. This results in a neutral sound with no distortions.

To eliminate even the tiniest transmission of the vibrations from the driver to the cabinet, the face plate is dressed in leather. The leather coat restricts the transmission of the resonances from driver to the cabinet, and also additionally dampens the cabinet. The result is absolutely-clear sound stage with all macro and micro details.

The internal wiring is made from silver-plated copper wires so the signal is not degraded at all. The special care is given to the crossover. Each element of the crossover is hand-measured in tolerance +/- 0.5% which assures the highest quality possible. The crossover helps to bring the mid-woofer and the tweeter in harmony. In this way, it is possible to achieve the natural sound of the vocals and other instruments with all their details and richness.

The housing of Saturn allows the tweeter to be vertically moved up to +/-30 deg. This means that the sound-beam of the tweeter can be adjusted, so that the perfect listening point can be achieved with the mid-woofer at any distance. This massively improves linearity and makes the sound much clearer and natural.

Finnish is hand-veneered real Bird-Eye Maple in natural or stained hues. For extra-charge it is possible to get the veneer of any kind. The standard finish is polyurethane varnish in semi-matte coating or oiled look. For extra-charge the high-gloss option is possible.

The speaker stands are made of MDF, stabilit, bird-eye maple and gold-plated screws. This construction restricts the transmission of the parasitic vibrations to the floor. This also makes the bass cleaner and more precise. Because we have two versions of the ZR-18 speakers, there are two versions of ZR-1 available. The version with ZR-18DD has a very clean and accurate bass with an incredibly dynamic sound-stage (pure audiophile sound). The version with ZR-18W has more "spicy" full bass in combination with the sweet-soft mid-high range.

The drivers used in ZR-1 are specially selected and broken in. Because of this, the ZR-1 speakers have almost perfect sound at the moment you turn them on.
